Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information WalletCalcs collects, how it's used, who it's shared with, and what choices you have. We've written it in plain English because privacy policies that no one can read are not really privacy policies.

Effective date: May 16, 2026. This policy applies to walletcalcs.com and all subdomains. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

Quick summary

The short version: WalletCalcs is a personal finance calculator and content site. We do not sell your data. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and not transmitted to our servers. We do use Google Analytics to understand site usage and Google AdSense to support the site through advertising, and these services use cookies. You can decline cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and you have rights under GDPR (if you're in the EU/UK) and CCPA (if you're in California) that we honor.

The longer version follows.

Information we collect

Information you provide voluntarily

When you sign up for the newsletter or use the contact form, you provide your email address (newsletter) or your name, email, and message (contact). This information is collected only when you actively submit it through a form on the site.

Calculator inputs

The numbers you enter into a calculator — income, expenses, loan amounts, savings balances, and similar — are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to WalletCalcs servers and we do not store them. When you close the tab, the values are gone unless you've used the browser's "print summary" or "email summary" features, both of which you initiate manually.

Information collected automatically

When you visit any page, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring website, approximate geographic location (country/region level), and the dates and times of your visits. This information is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve the content and tools.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device to remember information about your visit. WalletCalcs uses cookies for the following purposes:

Cookie consent

On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page asking whether you accept or decline cookies. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics and advertising cookies are denied by default until you actively accept. If you decline, only essential cookies are used and the site continues to function normally (with non-personalized advertising). You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser's site data for walletcalcs.com.

Third-party cookies

Google Analytics and Google AdSense are third-party services that set their own cookies. Their use of cookies is governed by Google's privacy policies, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting adssettings.google.com.

How we use information

Information collected through WalletCalcs is used for the following purposes:

WalletCalcs does not use your information for any other purpose. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

Third-party services we use

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic, understand visitor behavior, and improve the content. Google Analytics may collect information such as page views, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic location. This data is processed according to Google's terms and is used in aggregate, not to identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

WalletCalcs displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads based on prior visits to WalletCalcs and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on user visits to various sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info to opt out from many advertising networks at once.

Formspree

Newsletter signups and contact form submissions are processed through Formspree, a form-handling service. When you submit a form, your email address (and message, for contact form submissions) is sent to Formspree, which forwards it to WalletCalcs. Formspree's privacy practices are available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Hosting and infrastructure

WalletCalcs is hosted on standard web hosting infrastructure. Server logs include standard information such as IP addresses and request times, retained for security and debugging purposes, typically for 30-90 days.
